Norwegian Bliss

We get it, you are coming for Eldon, but we have to tell ya, this is a very cool ship.  Multiple complimentary dining options as well as 12 specialty restaurants and over a dozen bars of all types and environments. The Broadway plays Jersey Boys and Six, comedy club, jazz club, the Beatles, and interactive game shows are only the beginning of the entertainment.  How about the first race track at sea?  It’s awesome. Laser tag?  Crazy water slides?  This ship is amazing.

Around the Ship

Take a stroll along the Waterfront, the walkway that wraps around the 7th deck and is lined with lounge chairs, bars, restaurants and beautiful views.  Speaking of views, the Observation lounge on the 15th deck at the front of the ship spans 2 decks high.  Built for the Alaskan views, it is just as striking in the Mexican Riviera.  Looking to relax by one of the pools?  The central deck has the main pool or head back to the adults only hot tubs at Spice H2O and take in even more views off the back of the ship.  The central atrium is the hub of the ship and has a 2 story movie screen for some chill time, music and drinks with friends or join in on one of the many live game shows that happen here.  Whether you are looking to relax, unwind, rejuvenate or be inspired, this ship will fill your days with whatever is your perfect vacation.

Activities

The list of activities on this ship are endless.  The Bliss had the first race track at sea which is so much fun.  We highly recommend it.  Challenge your friends on the aqua racer or slide off the side of the ship on Ocean Loops.  Afterwards, get your cardio on playing laser tag or try your hand at blackjack in the casino.

Complimentary Dining

Norwegian broke from tradition years ago and created the any style dining that has now become the norm in cruising,  But they are still one of the best when it comes to dining options.  Savor and Taste are the two main complimentary dining options.  These are not the old style main dining rooms from the Love Boat though.  Offering private tables and a daily changing menus thet offer a variety of high end dishes for everyone they are a must visit for lunch or dinner.  Attire is your choice with a few limits; no rips in jeans, no flip flops, no sleeveless shirts.

Looking for a different complimentary options?  The Manhattan Room is a more elegant option for your main dining room offering classic and modern dishes in a more stylish atmosphere.  Looking for a quick bite, The Local, (this used to be the Irish bar), offers sit-down or bar dining with an expanded casual menu that includes fish & chips, hamburgers, Rubens and daily specials.  Rounding out the complimentary dining is the Garden buffet.  The menu is rotated daily to offer a fresh choice.  It’s a great option if you are looking to dine and get back to the fun.

Specialty Dining

The specialty dining options on NCL are some of our favorite dining on any cruise line.  Teppanyaki, the Japanese style restaurant where they cook at your table is always one of our favorites and great for small groups.  Ocean Blue serves up some of the best seafood around.  If you’re looking for a great steak, head on over to Cagney’s Steakhouse for a cooked to order prime steak.  In the mood for some good townhome BBQ?  It doesn’t get better than Q.  No matter what you’re in the mood for, Sushi, French, Italian, Mexican, there is most likely a specialty restaurant to suit your taste.

If you choose specialty dining as one of your perks you get two free dining options during your cruise.  If you want more than 2, they offer packages before the cruise.  Although you can pay at the table, purchasing an additional dining package is the better value.  We recommend you make reservations before the cruise to make sure you get into the options you want most.  They can always be changed once you get on the ship.
